Support
Find reassurance, practical context, and a place to begin — from IEPs to OT, therapy, medication, school interventions, and the tools that actually help a dysregulated nervous system.
Connection
Two views of the same journey — inside and outside, lived every day.
The humans behind the work
Inside view
Hi, I’m Chris. I’m 24, and I’ve spent my whole life knowing I’m on the Autism Spectrum. Growing up neurodivergent meant navigating sensory overload, emotional flooding, meltdowns, shutdowns, and moments when my nervous system simply couldn’t keep up. Those experiences shaped how I think and who I am today.
I want to use my experiences to help families understand neurodivergence — not as an illness, but as different neurological wiring that deserves understanding and the right tools.
Outside view
Chris is a recent college graduate whose lived experience with neurodivergence fuels extraordinary communication. He grew up navigating sensory overload, emotional flooding, meltdowns, shutdowns, and all the confusing neurodivergent behaviors parents Google late at night. After three decades in tech, I stepped away to help him build a career where his neurodivergence becomes a strength, not a barrier. That path became Decoding Divergent — a place where lived experience guides families through the hard moments with honesty, practicality, and truth.
Our lived experience isn’t theoretical — it’s built from late-night Google searches, hard days, breakthroughs, and a community that keeps showing up even when the coffee doesn’t. Those moments became connection, perspective, and a movement built by people who refuse to give up.
What we do
The kind you wish existed at 2 a.m. when you’re Googling “Is this normal?” with one eye open and a cold cup of coffee.
